Engadgets – 2.8 million users signed up for the new version of the Google app for Android.
The app features a wide range of new features, such as a new “Social” category where users can post a photo and then share a comment with the caption, “I’m on the hunt for the best selfie ever.”
In addition to the new social features, users will also have the option to share photos on Instagram with the hashtag #SnapChat #SnapSnapSnap #SnapchatSnapChat”It was a great year for us and we’re excited to see how this new version will change the way we interact with you,” said Matt King, Chief Product Officer of Google.
The company also released a number of new feature updates to the app, including a new app badge that can be applied to any photo or video.
The latest version of Google’s Android app also includes new video streaming tools, including support for Chromecast and an API for third-party app developers to integrate with Google Play Music and YouTube.
